Find a comfortable place to seat where you won't be disturbed for a while. Bring attention to your BREATH.
Gazing low (tip of nose) or close your eyes.
Count your breath to 10 as you inhale and exhale on equal length. Then to 20. Repeat.
Start over every time you lose count.
Therapeutic yoga is the lesser known version of yoga that is used in addressing specific issues in relation to the physical and non-physical elements that we face in our daily lives.
Many other yoga practices such as breath, meditation, energy balancing are used more often than just poses (asana) to bring overall balance to the person seeking therapy.
Usually done in a 1-2-1 or small group settings, a full individual consultation is done using a specific yoga therapy diagnostic tools to determine evidence-based practices that is suitable for the client in meeting his/her goals within the boundaries of the sutras and the skills of the therapist.
